Entercard’s customers in the Scandinavian market are increasing their use of contactless payments. Even though the growth has risen steadily over time, statistics from Entercard shows that their customers’ habits of paying changed in the time after Covid-19 broke out in March.
The most common form of phishing is carried out by e-mail and is something most people have heard of. It is often difficult to identify this type of e-mails as fraud, as they appear to come from a legit sender. In reality, they come from fraudsters that hide behind fake e-mail addresses for economic gain or sensitive data.
GDPR has been a thing for a while now, and EnterCard hired our Data protection officer (DPO), Henok Tesfazghi, back in 2018. The association of Norwegian savings banks, DSS AS (De samarbeidende sparebankene), has decided to continue its cooperation with EnterCard. A total of eight savings banks within DSS AS will offer their customers payment and credit services in collaboration with EnterCard. 23,000 customers already have a MasterCard Gold credit card through this partnership.

Entercard’s Collection Operations department is responsible for helping and guiding customers experiencing problems with their payments. Thanks to automation of the department’s work, handling processes have been streamlined and personal contact with customers has been greatly improved.

Since 2009, household debt in Norway has according to Statistics Norway increased by nearly NOK 1,500 billion, and a Lindorff report states that one in seventeen Norwegians has non-payment records. In order to counter the trend toward excess debt, Norway is introducing the credit information register.
